What ‘complete protein’ actually means

A complete protein contains all nine essential amino acids — the ones your body can't make itself and has to get from food — in reasonable amounts. Animal proteins (whey, eggs, meat) are complete by default. Most single plant sources fall slightly short somewhere, and for pea protein, that somewhere is methionine, a sulphur-containing amino acid pea protein carries in comparatively small amounts.

So is pea protein ‘incomplete’?
